Justin Timberlake performs one-song show for TV commercial
Justin Timberlake thrilled fans by staging a one-off, one-song show at fabled nightclub Maxwell's in Hoboken, New Jersey on Wednesday (28Aug13).
The Suit & Tie hitmaker shot a new concert ad for Target at the venue, which closed its doors for the last time at the end of July (13).
He sent out a post on Twitter.com on Wednesday (28Aug13) inviting
fans to join him for the short gig, writing, ""Hey NYC and NJ, what
are you doing tonight at 8pm ET (eastern time)...? Join me &
@Target tonight for just one song. Let's 'Take Back the Night'.
First 150 get in. See you there!"
His fans didn't disappoint - a crowd of thousands gathered around
the club.
Most were turned away but a lucky few joined Timberlake's wife
Jessica Biel inside.
In April (13) Maxwell's came in third in Rolling Stone magazine's
Venues that Rock list of the best clubs in America.
The Target gig came just three days after the pop superstar wowed
fans with a 15-minute hits set at the MTV Video Music Awards, where
he also picked up Video of the Year and the Michael Jackson Video
Vanguard Award.
