Justin Bieber writes emotional new song about Selena Gomez split
Justin Bieber has channelled the heartbreak from his break-up with Selena Gomez into a new song as he struggles to get over his ex-girlfriend.
The Baby hitmaker was allegedly dumped by singer/actress Gomez in November (12). They reunited before Christmas (Dec12) and enjoyed a romantic ski trip in Utah, but it appears their relationship is now over for good.
Bieber has opened up about the failed romance in a candid interview
with Billboard music magazine, in which he admits that he has been
relying on his best pals to keep him smiling through the pain as
fans and gossip bloggers continue to speculate about what caused
the split.
He says, "I'm not in the happiest place that I've ever been. I'm
trying to get through what I'm going through... I have my really
close friends to cheer me up and keep me going...
"There's so many rumors. People say I call Selena every day and she
won't pick up the phone or I'm chasing her down, and these are all
fake stories. I don't go on blogs or anything like that. I hear
things. People tell me if something happens on the Internet. It
gets back to me, definitely."
During the chat, Bieber also unveiled a new ballad he has written
about the former couple's relationship, titled Nothing Like Us,
which features lyrics like, "Nothing can ever, ever replace
you/Nothing can make me feel like you do" and "Gave you
everything/Everything I had to give/Girl, why would you push me
away?".
Discussing the tune, he explains, "At the end of the day, there's
nothing like us, you know? That's just it. It is what it is. People
are going to relate to that."
Bieber is now looking to the future and trying to remain positive
about what lies ahead: "I don't have any regrets. I live and learn.
My mom says, 'You got to learn the hard way, don't you?' That's me.
I learn the hard way. But it's about how I pick myself up and be
better and stronger."
