Justin Bieber to spend Valentine's Day in court

Troubled pop star Justin Bieber is due to spend the most romantic day of the year in court following his recent DUI arrest.

The singer was detained by police last week (ends26Jan14) on suspicion of driving under the influence, resisting arrest without violence and driving with an expired licence, and is currently free on bail.

Bieber fled the States following his headline-grabbing arrest, jetting to Panama for a sun-soaked break with friends, but a judge in Florida has now booked him in for an arraignment hearing on 14 February (14).

The Baby star's court date falls on Valentine's Day, when prosecutors will file formal charges and the singer will enter a plea.

It is not yet known if Bieber will be compelled to attend the hearing, or whether he will be allowed to skip the formalities and enter a plea through his lawyer.
