Justin Bieber sued by photographer over Hawaii spat

Troubled pop star Justin Bieber has been hit with a lawsuit from a photographer who alleges the singer and his bodyguard destroyed his camera equipment last year (13).

The Baby hitmaker was pictured jumping off a cliff in Kauai, Hawaii in November (13) by snapper Aja Oxman, who claims the singer then sent his bodyguard to snatch the camera's memory card.

In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ.com, Oxman alleges Bieber's employee lifted him up by the neck, slammed him onto the hood of a car and took his camera. He claims that Bieber and the security guard then destroyed the equipment together.

Bieber's bodyguard, Dwayne Patterson, was arrested and charged with third degree assault and fourth degree criminal property damage after the alleged incident.

A similar lawsuit is still pending against the singer over a spat with a snapper in Florida last summer (13). Photographer Jeffrey Binion sued for damages after Bieber's bodyguard, Hugh Hesney, allegedly choked him and forced him to delete the images he had taken of the star outside a recording studio in Miami.

Bieber answered deposition questions regarding the Binion case in March (14) and has since been ordered to sit for another round of interrogation.
