Justin Bieber reunites with Chantel Jeffries for private movie date

Justin Bieber rented out a movie theatre in New York City on Monday night (18Jul16) so he could enjoy a private date with model Chantel Jeffries.

The pop superstar is in the Big Apple to wrap up the North American leg of his Purpose World Tour, and during his first of two sold out gigs at Madison Square Garden on Monday, Justin had a very special guest cheering him on from the crowd.

"Chantel and Bieber have been hanging out for the past few months," a source tells E! News. "Last night Chantel went to see Bieber in concert. Bieber got (her) tickets."

After the show, Justin whisked Chantel off to a cinema in Times Square, where he had organised a private viewing of hit animated movie The Secret Life of Pets.

They were later snapped leaving the venue, with Justin dressed down in an oversized white sweatshirt and black pants, while Chantel showed off her figure in a lace-up crop-top, cut-off denim shorts, and knee-high boots.

The pair has been linked on and off since early 2014, when Chantel was photographed sitting next to Bieber in a Lamborghini, shortly before he was pulled over by police and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) in Miami, Florida.

She then joined Selena Gomez's ex for a beach vacation in Panama following his release, but claimed there was nothing romantic about their relationship when quizzed by an E! News reporter weeks later.

Asked if she had ever kissed Bieber, Jeffries responded, "We're friends. Do you kiss your friends...? Do you sleep in the same bed as your friends?"

However, after their latest cosy outing, E!'s insider claims they are on the verge of becoming more than just friends.

The source explains, "Bieber likes Chantel. He thinks she is a great girl. Chantel would really date Bieber exclusively if he was ready. They have been good friends for a while."

Jeffries may be waiting a while for Justin to commit - earlier this year (16), while he was said to be romancing another model, Hailey Baldwin, the 22-year-old admitted he was reluctant to tie himself to one woman at such a young age.

"I don't want to put anyone in a position where they feel like I'm only theirs, only to be hurt in the end," he told GQ magazine. "Right now in my life, I don't want to be held down by anything. I already have a lot that I have to commit to. A lot of responsibilities. I don't want to feel like the girl I love is an added responsibility."
