Justin Bieber planning to adopt another pet monkey

In spite of his poor track record, Justin Bieber is planning to adopt another pet monkey.

The 21-year-old popstar still thinks monkeys "are awesome" and is considering taking on another one, despite having his capuchin monkey Mally seized by German authorities three years ago when he brought it on tour without the right paperwork

"Just gotta make sure I got a house and it stays in the f***ing house ... I'm not gonna bring him to Germany," Justin told TMZ on Friday (19Feb16).

The idea hasn't been well received by animal rights organizations though, with the North American Primate Sanctuary Alliance warning Justin that he would be stupid to take on another primate.

The organization pleaded that Justin should not "repeat this foolish endeavor" and that another monkey would show that he is "irresponsible when it comes to your public following."

They added that the Sorry singer should not consider trying to domesticate another primate.

"It is simply not possible to fulfill the unique needs of your monkey within a private home," the organization said in a statement.

In March 2013 Mally was seized by German customs after the Canadian star failed to produce the required vaccination, as well as the import papers, after landing in Munich for a European tour.

Mally was eventually transferred to the Serengeti Park in Hodenhagen, near Hanover, after spending several weeks in quarantine.

Justin had several months to present the paperwork to reclaim Mally but failed to do so.

As a result, Mally is now the property of the German government. The singer eventually paid the $8,000 that he owed the zoo for the primate's import plus the costs of several weeks' care at an animal shelter.
