Justin Bieber pens letter to fans after storming off stage
Justin Bieber has penned a letter to his fans explaining why he stormed off stage during a concert earlier this month (Oct16).
The Sorry singer was performing to a packed out audience at the Manchester Arena in the U.K. on 23 October (16), marking the last of three concerts in the city as part of his Purpose World Tour.
The star tried to talk to the crowd in between songs, but they
began booing, leading a clearly frustrated Justin to drop his
microphone and storm off stage.
He was reportedly absent for around two minutes before he returned
to plead with the crowd to stop screaming.
After his fans continued to scream, the 22-year-old singer
imploded.
"I’m just going to quit the talking alright. I’m not going to talk
the rest of the night," he raged. "We’re just going to do the
music. Obviously Manchester just can’t handle it so let’s do the
music."
On Saturday (29Oct16), the Canadian superstar attempted to explain
his behavior in a letter to his fans posted on social media.
"There's going to be times where I say the wrong thing, because I'm
human... There's times when I get upset... times when I get angry,
there's times when I'm going to be frustrated. But I'm always going
to be myself on this stage," Justin said, refuting claims he had
stormed off stage because he was angry at his fans.
"All I was simply doing was wanting people to listen; to kind of
hear me out a little bit," his note reads. "Certain cities aren't
going to want to hear me out, and you know, sometimes it's my job
to just say, 'Hey, I'm not going to try to force anything.'"
Justin is currently in Glasgow, Scotland, on the latest stop of his
Purpose World Tour. After concluding his three-night stint in the
city, he heads to Dublin, Ireland on Tuesday (01Nov16), before
jetting off to Austria.
He concludes the European leg of his tour in London at the end of
November (16).
