Justin Bieber injured in basketball game before Ohio gig
Justin Bieber hobbled through his set in Cincinnati, Ohio on Friday night (24Jun16) following a basketball court injury hours before gig time.
The pop star was taking part in a pick-up game on Friday afternoon to warm-up for his concert at U.S. Bank Arena, when he took a tumble and rolled his ankle.
Shots of the Baby singer in agony on the floor and of his severely
swollen ankle in a bucket of ice were subsequently posted
online.
Justin informed fans his ankle was sprained, but he refused to
cancel the show, insisting he was just going to take it easy.
The latest mishap on the pop star's Purpose tour comes a week after
Bieber fell through a hole in the stage during a gig in Canada.
Justin was performing at the SaskTel Center in Saskatoon on 16 June
(16) when he walked to the end of a sloping stage and suddenly fell
through a hole which was almost the same height as the singer.
In a video posted online, Justin's blonde hair could be seen
sticking up out over the edge of the stage after the nasty fall.
The singer escaped injury and quickly scrambled back onstage where
he addressed the crowd.
"Good thing I'm like a cat and landed on my feet... Oh my
goodness," a stunned Justin told the audience.
And this wasn't Justin's first mishap on stage this year - in April
(16) he took an embarrassing tumble into a pool of water during a
performance in Kansas City. The 22-year-old slid into the water
while performing Sorry and ended up on his bottom.
