Justin Bieber 'ignoring rumours, focusing on the music'
Teenage pop star Justin Bieber has vowed to remain focused "on the positives" amid unfounded allegations he has impregnated a fan.
Mariah Yeater, 20, has filed a paternity lawsuit against the 17-year-old Baby hitmaker, claiming she fell pregnant with her now-three-month-old daughter Tristyn after they had sex backstage at a concert in Los Angeles.
Justin Bieber's representatives have slammed the allegations and
warned that they will use "all available legal remedies" to prove
the "malicious, defamatory" claims are false.
And the young singer is determined not to let the tabloid rumours
overshadow his work to promote his new Christmas album Under The
Mistletoe.
In a series of posts on his Twitter.com blog, he writes, "all the
rumors...the gossip....Im gonna focus on the positives....the
music... with this album Im giving portion of the proceeds to
#charity ... Im trying to help #GIVEBACK... nothing will stop me
from that focus. NOTHING...
"Im going to ignore the rumors...and focus on what is real. an
opportunity to help by doing what i love. Judge me on the music!
Love yall!"
And Justin Bieber is hoping to draw the spotlight away from his
personal life to offer one lucky devotee the chance to ring in the
New Year with him at a concert in New York.
He adds, "for those asking yes their (sic) is a ticket in some of
the #UnderTheMistletoe albums to come meet me on NEW YEARS
EVE!!"
