Justin Bieber 'graduates' on Ellen DeGeneres Show
Justin Bieber donned a cap and gown as he was treated to a mock graduation ceremony during a TV appearance.
The Baby singer, who completed high school earlier this month (May12), was left speechless when TV host Ellen DeGeneres ended their interview by staging a pretend commencement.
DeGeneres told the star, "I know you graduated two weeks ago and
you didn't have a traditional graduation ceremony so I'm going to
give you one right now."
She then handed him a traditional robe and specially designed cap
that hovered just above his head, noting "how important your hair
is", before inviting him onto a podium and handing him a
diploma.
Delivering her fake graduation speech, the comedienne quipped,
"We're here to honour the accomplishments of the Biebs, a great
American who happens to be from Canada. Justin, you've finally made
it, you're graduating. I'm so proud of you because I've always said
there ain't nothing more better than an education (sic)!
"Today you're a high school graduate. You've accomplished so much
in a short time. You're only 18, you're already an international
superstar. When I was 18, my biggest accomplishment was drinking a
whole bottle of boysenberry syrup from the International House of
Pancakes."
The episode airs on Wednesday (23May12).
