Justin Bieber appears in Christian rapper's new video

Pop superstar Justin Bieber has returned to his Christian roots to give an unknown rapper a big boost.

Brandon Burke's video for his new track The Pledge features footage of the aspiring rap star chatting to the Baby singer about religion, God and forgiveness.

At the end of the promo, Bieber can be heard saying, "God loved the world so much he gave up his own son, right? Imagine, like, someone killing your son... These are your people, right? It’s like, 'How are you killing my son? That’s my son!' It’s gonna be hard for you to forgive.

"God forgave everyone and they killed his son. That shows how much grace God has."

The video comes as Bieber could do with a little divine help - he's currently facing a series of legal woes after he was allegedly caught drag racing in Miami, Florida earlier this year (14) and accused of lashing out at a limousine driver during a night out in his native Canada in December (14).
