Justin Bieber and Michael Buble dominate Juno Awards
Justin Bieber and Michael Buble were the toast of their native Canada on Sunday night (01Ap12) as they led the country's Juno Awards.
The teenage pop star was unable to attend the ceremony in Ottowa, hosted by Star Trek legend William Shatner, so in a pre-taped video message he thanked devotees for voting for him in the Fan Choice Award category.
He told the audience, "As we all know, I have the best fans in the
world... this is for you."
Canadian crooner Buble was also a winner at the show, picking up
the Album Of The Year trophy for his holiday record, Christmas,
seeing off competition from Bieber's festive album, Mistletoe.
Another local act, singer/songwriter Feist, scooped the Artist of
the Year award as well as two pre-show prizes - Best Adult
Alternative for her fourth album, Metals, and Best Music DVD for
Look at What the Light Did Now.
Other winners included British singer Adele, who won the
International Album Of The Year for her best-selling record 21, and
hip-hop star Drake, who picked up Rap Recording Of The Year for
Take Care.
