Julia Roberts apologises to Lily Collins after every Snow White take

Julia Roberts is constantly apologising to her Snow White co-star Lily Collins while filming the fairytale adaptation, because portraying the Evil Queen is so out of character for the Oscar winner.

The Pretty Woman actress is currently shooting director Tarsem Singh's quirky take on the story opposite Lily Collins as the princess, and the young star reveals working with Roberts has been an interesting experience.

She tells People magazine, "Once they yelled 'Cut', Julia would say, 'I'm sorry, I hate being mean to you.'"

Cult filmmaker Tarsem Singh's version of the popular fairytale is one of two adaptations in the works - Kristen Stewart is heading up the cast of a rival production, with Charlize Theron as her evil stepmother.
