Josh Hutcherson unaware of Kentucky Colonel title benefits
The Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson still has no idea what privileges his honor as a Kentucky Colonel affords him in his home state.
The 25-year-old revealed back in 2010 he had been awarded the top title - the highest honor bestowed by the Governor of Kentucky - but seven years on, Josh confesses he has yet to try and use the award to his advantage.
"I don't know what that really means, exactly, but I have a plaque that says I'm a Kentucky Colonel!” he smiled. “I don't know if it's good for KFC (fried chicken) buckets or what the deal is, but I haven't tried to wield its power yet!"
The lifelong title of Kentucky Colonel is awarded to people in recognition of noteworthy accomplishments and outstanding service to the community, state, or the nation.
Hutcherson is in good company as a Kentucky Colonel - other famous honorees include Johnny Depp, Ashley Judd, Elvis Presley, Barry Manilow, former Presidents Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush, and late boxing legend and humanitarian Muhammad Ali.
