Jonah Hill feared upsetting animals rights activists in The Wolf Of Wall Street

Actor Jonah Hill changed a bizarre goldfish-swallowing scene in The Wolf Of Wall Street to avoid upsetting animal rights campaigners.

The star, who plays an out-of-control stockbroker in the film opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, appears to grab a goldfish out of a bowl and eat it during a bust-up with a colleague.

Hill admits he wanted to swallow the fish for real, but was worried about the reaction of campaigners at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

He tells Britain's The Times, "I wanted to (eat the fish for real). I tried aggressively to eat the goldfish, but PETA stopped it!"
