Johnny Depp's legal woes over concert scuffle
Johnny Depp is facing legal action from a disabled woman who alleges she was assaulted by his security guards at a rock concert last December (11).
The plaintiff, listed as Jane Doe, claims she sustained severe injuries and emotional distress after the Pirates of the Caribbean star's minders hurt her during an Iggy and the Stooges gig at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.
She alleges the trouble began when Depp's entourage tried to take
away her iPhone, before dragging her out of the VIP section and
causing her pants to fall down, "exposing her buttocks to the
other... patrons".
The woman, who suffers from fibromyalgia, maintains Depp was aware
of the struggle and "was supplying direct supervision and
management of his security guards and directing" their actions.
The incident allegedly exacerbated her pre-existing conditions and
caused the plaintiff "injuries and extreme and outrageous
humiliation".
She is seeking unspecified damages, medical costs, reimbursement
for loss of income, attorney's fees and statutory damages.
