John Legend returned to his alma mater in Pennsylvania on Wednesday (16Jan13) to deliver a speech in honour of Martin Luther King, Jr.
The Ordinary People hitmaker, 34, studied English with an emphasis on African American literature at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), and he returned to the institute to address current students.
Legend was the guest speaker at the 12th Annual Dr. Martin Luther
King, Jr. Lecture in Social Justice, and he was happy to be part of
the thought-provoking discussion.
In a post on his Twitter.com page, he writes, "I had a great time
doing the MLK lecture at my alma mater UPENN tonight. Thanks for
all the great questions! Sorry we couldn't answer more."
