John Legend paid tribute to a 15-year-old fan who died in the recent terror attack in Manchester, England in a video message to her grieving parents.

In his message to Olivia Campbell's mother Charlotte and stepdad Paul, the 38-year-old singer said he was "moved" by footage of the teenager performing his song All Of Me in a talent contest.

Olivia was one of the 22 victims who died after 22-year-old Salman Abedi blew himself up in a suicide bomb attack at an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena last Monday (22May17).

John's message was broadcast as part of an interview with the grieving couple on U.K. TV show Good Morning Britain, during which they played old footage of their daughter singing John's track, a personal favorite.

"I can't imagine the pain you are going through," the Ordinary People musician said in the video. "The feeling you must be going through right now to have to bury your own daughter.

"I understand that she was a fan of my music and she sang my song All Of Me for a talent show. "I want to thank you for playing the song and let you know that I was so moved by your daughter's performance of the song, that I want to send you as much love as I can send you from far away.

"My sympathy and condolences. I know it won't make up for the loss that you're feeling right now, but any love that we can send you, we want to send you right now and wish you all the best."

Charlotte wants to turn a recording of her daughter singing the track into a single sold to raise money for the victims of the attack and their families.

She said, "I want my daughter to carry on living. I never want her to be forgotten by anybody. I just want her memory to be kept alive. She was the cheekiest, most funniest girl. She was always singing, laughing, dancing, joking. She was just an amazing girl.

Her stepdad added, "Olivia loved her singing. I want Olivia to be the face of Manchester. This song is so fitting. Let's get it to number one, let's make that little girl's dream. "

Ariana Grande's song One Last Time entered the U.K. chart at number 11 last Friday (26May17) after a campaign by her fans. The 23-year-old singer has announced she will return to Manchester to perform a benefit concert for the victims.
