Jesse Eisenberg lands Vanessa Redgrave for Off-Broadway play

Jesse Eisenberg's second Off-Broadway play has been given a major boost after theater veteran Vanessa Redgrave joined the cast.

The second play written by The Social Network star, titled The Revisionist, is set to debut in February (13) at the Cherry Lane Theater in New York, the venue which hosted his first production, Asuncion, last year (11).

Eisenberg will portray an aspiring science fiction writer in the play and he has now signed up a member of acting royalty - British thespian Redgrave has joined the cast.

Redgrave was last seen on the New York stage in the 2010 Broadway revival of Driving Miss Daisy, opposite James Earl Jones, in a role which won her a Tony Award nomination.
