Jerry Ferrara sprains ankle playing basketball

Actor Jerry Ferrara sought medical attention on Tuesday (23Apr13) after spraining his ankle playing basketball.

The Entourage star shared photographs of his injury with fans on his Twitter.com page, and informed them he was set to undergo X-rays to assess the damage.

In a series of posts, he writes, "This sprained ankle is giving me a great swag limp I don't quite deserve. Goin (sic) for X-rays now."

However, Ferrara refused to let the injury affect his social life and he dined out at Los Angeles' RivaBella restaurant on Tuesday night.

The star explained his limp to a videographer for TMZ.com, saying, "It's a little sprained ankle. (I did it while playing) basketball. Trying to actually attempt to be athletic, which I am not."

The swollen ankle isn't the star's first injury from playing basketball - in August (12), he was was left with a nasty cut beneath his eye after a run-in on the court.
