Jennifer Lopez back for more Carpool Karaoke for new TV special
Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry are preparing to have a little fun by signing up to star on late night host James Corden's new Carpool Karaoke TV special.
Waiting For Tonight hitmaker J.Lo previously joined the British comedian to sing along to her favorite tunes for his first Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special last year (16), and now she is set to return for another round.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, this time Jennifer will take part in a "Toddlerography" dance lesson, during which she and the funnyman will learn some moves from kids.
Meanwhile, Perry will make her debut on the new TV spin-off, which will air on 22 May (17). The idea for the hour-long show was spawned from the popular Carpool Karaoke segment on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Last year's (16) Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special earned Corden an Emmy for Outstanding Variety Special, and famously featured J.Lo receiving a text message from Leonardo DiCaprio, calling her "boo boo", after allowing the comedian to scroll through her star-studded contacts list.
The line-up news for the TV special emerges a week after Apple Music bosses delayed the release of their Carpool Karaoke: The Series spin-off, which had been due to launch on the subscription-only streaming service in April (17). The new show will now debut later this year (17).
The half-hour Apple Music series will feature stars such as John Legend, Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton and members of Metallica, with the performers set to sing along to tracks from their personal playlists.
Preview footage of the program previously revealed Corden will be appearing in one episode, alongside actor and rapper Will Smith.
