Jason Biggs is a first-time father

Actor Jason Biggs has become a father for the first time after his wife Jenny Mollen gave birth on Saturday (15Feb14).

Mollen announced the baby news on Instagram.com on Tuesday (18Feb14), after posting a series of videos documenting the birth of little Sid.

She wrote, "February 15th, 2014 5:00 pm babybiggs."

The American Pie star and Mollen wed in 2008 and they announced the pregnancy in July (13).

It appears the baby was over a week late as Biggs revealed last year (13) the tot was due on 4 February (14).

He told chat show host Conan O'Brien that he was concerned the baby's birth might interfere with his Super Bowl plans.

Biggs explained, "The Super Bowl is in New Jersey this year, it's right where I grew up and I'm on the host committee... I don't know what the hell that means but I know that it comes with two tickets to the Super Bowl.

"Obviously I'll still love the kid whenever it's born... I hope he's not an a**hole and is born right before the Super Bowl."
