Jaimie Alexander and Peter Facinelli not engaged

A representative for Jaimie Alexander has brushed off speculation the Thor beauty is engaged to wed boyfriend Peter Facinelli after she was photographed wearing a band on her ring finger this weekend (25-26Jan14).

The actress sparked rumours about the couple's relationship status after stepping out for a shopping trip in Los Angeles wearing a new piece of jewellery on her left hand, but her spokesperson has been quick to shoot down talk of a wedding.

The rep tells Eonline.com, "There's no engagement", adding that the ring was "solely a fashion accessory".

Alexander and Facinelli have been smitten with one another ever since they started dating in 2012, following the breakdown of the Twilight hunk's marriage to Jennie Garth.

At the time, the brunette actress gushed, "It's very new to me and it's scary, but it's also something we don't want to give up on because I know how it makes me feel in my heart... It makes me feel really good. He's a good guy with a great family and I couldn't be any luckier."

Facinelli and Garth's 11-year union was officially dissolved last summer (13).
