Jackson Rathbone welcomes daughter

Actor Jackson Rathbone is a dad again.

The Twilight star's wife Sheila Hafsadi gave birth to daughter Presley Bowie Rathbone on Tuesday (31May16), and the proud father took to Twitter to share the first photo of the couple's newborn.

In the black-and-white shot, Jackson is dressed in a hospital gown next to his wife, who is cradling their daughter close to her face, just moments after giving birth.

He added the caption, "Today!! Our daughter is born!! Presley Bowie Rathbone... Welcomed into the world at 8:38am, with love & joy."

The news comes a little over 24 hours after the actor shared a photo on Twitter of the then-pregnant mother-to-be lounging in her bikini on America's Memorial Day holiday (30May16).

He captioned the black and white snap, "The wifey at #39weeks and one day! Soon, baby, soon..."

Jackson and Sheila, who wed in 2013, are already parents to three-year-old son Monroe Jackson Rathbone VI.

Little Presley Bowie's name is clearly a tribute to part-time rocker Rathbone's musical icons Elvis Presley and David Bowie, who died in January (16).

Ironically, the baby's birth comes on the same day as news about the proud papa's latest film drama - the release of Jackson's Gods & Secrets has been stalled after director Adi Shankar announced he would be reshooting actor Mark Salling's scenes in the movie.

Salling was indicted last week (ends27May16) on two counts of child pornography.

Rathbone and his Twilight co-star Kellan Lutz both appear in the new movie.
