Injured The Game pulls out of Japanese festival

Rapper The Game has apologized to fans in Japan after axing an upcoming gig as a result of his injured hand.

The Dreams hitmaker was left nursing a broken thumb and a busted wrist last weekend (28Jul12) after falling during a basketball game. He suffered the broken bones when another player accidentally stepped on his right hand.

The Game recently underwent surgery in Los Angeles and the incident has prompted him to pull out of the Monster Vibes festival in Nagoya, Japan on Sunday (05Aug12) in order to rest.

In a Twitter.com post on Friday (03Aug12), he writes, "An apology 2 my Japan fans & Monster vibe for my absence from show but due to my broken hand, recent surgery & meds (medication) I'm not able to travel (sic)."

Fellow rappers Ice Cube and WC are still scheduled to perform, while Lil' Jon will play a DJ set.
