Iggy Azalea hit with tax bill amid cheating drama
Iggy Azalea has been slapped with a tax bill just days after she was hit with allegations her fiance Nick Young has been unfaithful.
The Fancy star reportedly owes officials at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) $391,000 in unpaid income taxes from 2014, and she has been hit with a tax lien forcing her to pay up, according to TMZ.com.
The financial news comes less than two weeks after a video showing
Nick admitting to cheating on Iggy with a teenager last summer (15)
was leaked on the Internet. The conversation was secretly recorded
by Nick's Los Angeles Lakers teammate D'Angelo Russell, who has
since apologised for the drama.
After the leak, Iggy tweeted, "hmmm i see D Angelo Russell is
trending... I actually liked his film. Thanks bro," and replied to
a user who claimed to have video evidence of the encounter, "If
there's proof of cheating, she'd be doing me a favor to post it
actually. I'm not tryna marry a cheater (sic)."
However, the couple still seem to be together as Iggy appeared on
the red carpet of the iHeartRadio Music Awards at the The Forum in
Inglewood, California on Sunday night (03Apr16) still wearing her
engagement ring.
The 25-year-old rapper had previously defended Nick over older
cheating allegations. "Hey, that's part of being a basketball
player. There's always something," she said on 92.3 AMP Radio's
Shoboy In the Morning. "I believe my man, and Nick is a super nice
guy. It's just not really the kind of thing he would do."
The pair got engaged in June, 2015 and have postponed their wedding
from later this year (16) so Iggy can focus on her new album
Digital Distortion and tour.
