Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell enjoy Frozen reunion
Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell and Josh Gad enjoyed a mini Frozen reunion on Sunday (13Mar16).
The trio have enjoyed huge success through their roles as Elsa, Anna and Olaf respectively in the much-loved Disney animated movie. With a sequel to the 2013 film in the works, Idina, Kristen and Josh reprised their characters at a charity benefit for Idina's A BroaderWay Foundation.
Both Idina and Kristen dressed down in comfy, casual outfits for
the occasion, but it was their voices that took center stage as
they performed together for a delighted audience.
Kristen posted a picture of herself standing behind a microphone
alongside Idina, with the caption: "Singing #frozen songs with the
effervescent @idinamenzel at a benefit for her @abroaderway
foundation :)"
Meanwhile, Josh, who enjoyed a few lines as loveable snowman Olaf,
also shared a cute picture of the trio together, writing: "Team
#Frozen back together again. Love these girls!"
Guests at the benefit were also treated to Kristen performing More
Than Just the Spare - a song that didn't make the cut for the
Frozen soundtrack.
Josh shared a short video clip of the song on his Instagram page,
writing: "I mean who sounds like this at 10 AM?!!!"
Idina and her ex-husband Taye Diggs set up their foundation in
2010, to help young women from urban communities have the
opportunity to express themselves creatively through arts-centerd
programs.
Disney's confirmation that they had authorized a sequel to Frozen
in March 2015 came as little surprise to many considering the
immense worldwide success of the original film.
There has also been a spin-off short, Frozen Fever, which was
released in 2015 and Idina's IMDB.com page lists an Untitled Frozen
Holiday Special as a television movie slated for release in
2017.
