Heidi Klum taking auction bidder to Oscars parties

Heidi Klum will have a very special date on Oscar night next year (14) after offering up herself as an auction prize at the AmFAR gala in Cannes last week (ends24May13).

A night out with Klum was part of a package that included tickets to the premiere and after-party of Leonardo DiCaprio's new film The Wolf of Wall Street, and tickets to Oscar night's top parties.

The lot went under the hammer for $1.94 million (GBP1.3 million).

Other items auctioned off included Adrien Brody's Bulgari watch, which he was wearing at the gala, and a private in-home performance from Duran Duran, which sold for $518,000 (GBP334,000).

But the most talked about lot, which went under the hammer for $1.5 million (GBP967,000), was an out-of-this world trip into space with DiCaprio onboard Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic voyage.
