Hank Williams' granddaughter is a first-time mother
Country music star Holly Williams has welcomed her first child.
The singer, who is the granddaughter of music legend Hank Williams, and her husband Chris Coleman added another member to their famous family on Tuesday (30Sep14).
Williams gave birth to daughter Stella June Coleman in Nashville,
Tennessee, and continued the long family tradition of naming their
child after members in the family.
Stella was the name of a great, great aunt, while June was
Williams' maternal grandmother.
The new mother tells People magazine, "She (June) was the
grandparent I was closest to by far and she was just such an
amazing, lovely, southern dream of a grandmother to me. It's really
important to teach my child about my grandparents and where they
came from and why I was so close to them."
Williams wed drummer Coleman, who tours with Kings of Leon, in
2009.
