Hailee Steinfeld defends Jenner sisters after Pitch Perfect co-star takes aim

Hailee Steinfeld has defended pals Kendall and Kylie Jenner after her Pitch Perfect 2 co-star Rebel Wilson suggested they were "a bit superficial" in a recent interview.

The young actress has taken exception to remarks the Australian star made about the youngest members of the Kardashian clan, insisting that while Rebel is entitled to her opinions, they're wrong.

Wilson claimed the sisters were "famous for no talent", adding, "What they stand for is totally against what I stand for. They seem a bit superficial and their careers aren't really based on talent."

Hailee tells The Fix, "I've been in the same circle as Kylie and Kendall for years and they are very sweet girls. I stay in touch with them, I think they're great... We all work very hard, we do a lot to maintain all of that."
