Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's divorce made official
A Los Angeles judge has officially signed off on Gwyneth Paltrow's divorce from rocker Chris Martin.
The Iron Man actress and Coldplay frontman Chris announced their "conscious uncoupling" in March, 2014 and Gwyneth subsequently filed to legally end their marriage.
The two parties reached a split settlement in May (16), when they
agreed on terms for property and child support, and also gave up
their rights to spousal support, paving the way for their divorce
to be finalized.
Now People.com reports Gwyneth and Chris are legally single again,
after their judgment was entered into a Los Angeles court on
Thursday (14Jul16).
The former couple, which wed in 2003, has remained close for the
sake of its two children, Apple and Moses.
The family enjoyed a trip to Peru in April (16), when Moses marked
turning 10 by joining his rocker dad onstage, while Paltrow and
Martin also spent a day at Disneyland together in May (16) to
celebrate Apple's 12th birthday.
Gwyneth recently admitted she still has so much love for Chris and
is proud of her new relationship with her ex.
"My children know that we're in a loving family," she said during a
Cannes Lions conversation with HardTalk's Stephen Sackur last month
(Jun16). "And I adore their father even though we're not in a
romantic relationship.
"I'm very proud of us for the way that - as anyone who has been
divorced knows - we have had to put aside an awful lot to stay a
family for the sake of the children. Sometimes it's quite tough on
a personal level."
Both stars have since moved on in their love lives - Gwyneth has
been dating TV producer Brad Falchuk, and last year (15), Chris was
linked to Peaky Blinders beauty Annabelle Wallis. He also dated
Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence following his marriage split.
