Gwen Stefani thrills bullied fan with magic concert moment
Gwen Stefani halted her show in West Palm Beach on Wednesday night (27Jul16) to honour a bullied fan.
The 46-year-old singer was performing at the Perfect Vodka Amphitheater when she spotted a note detailing a young kid's torment, which had been tossed onto the stage in front of her.
She stopped singing and read the message, stating, "My son was
bullied from first to fifth grade... He'd come home every day
upset, but he'd go to his room and listen to your music and
smile..."
The Used To Love You singer then made the youngster's night when
she told him to "get up here right now! Right now!"
The young fan, who was overcome with emotion, raced to the stage
and embraced his pop idol.
"Where's your mum?" Stefani asked him, prompting the kid to point
her out in the crowd.
The two posed for a sweet picture and hugged again before Gwen
resumed her show.
The mother of three young boys, who split from Gavin Rossdale, her
husband of 13 years, last summer (15), later took to Instagram and
revealed the meeting with her bullied fan had had a big impact on
her.
"About 3 years ago when things were hard in my life I prayed to God
everyday that I could get a chance to use my gift that God gave me
and make a difference in some way in this world," she wrote. "Last
night this little guy was the answer to my prayers
