George Clooney househunting in France

Hollywood actor George Clooney is reportedly scouting for a holiday home in the south of France with his fiancee.

The Oscar winner became engaged to Brit Amal Alamuddin earlier this year (14), and they are said to be looking to settle down in London where she works as a human rights lawyer.

A new report suggests Clooney has sent a request to real estate agents in Europe in a bid to find a luxury home on the French Riviera.

A source tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "Clooney has sent a request to real estate agents in the south of France. He is specifically shopping for a 'house on the beach'... One agent has found a possible nest for Clooney just outside St-Tropez... I guess he hopes the London gloom will be relieved by escapes to the Cote d'Azur."
