Former Everybody Loves Raymond actor Sawyer Sweeten has died aged 19 of a suspected suicide.

Sweeten's manager Dino May confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday (23Apr15).

He was reportedly visiting family in Texas, where he is believed to have shot himself on the front porch of their home.

Sweeten played Ray Romano and Patricia Heaton's son Geoffrey on the Emmy-winning sitcom, starring alongside his twin brother Sullivan and older sister Madylin.

Following the series finale of Everybody Loves Raymond in 2005, Sweeten stepped out of the spotlight and did not return to acting.

Madylin took to her Facebook page on Thursday night and wrote, "At this time I would like to encourage everyone to reach out to the ones you love. Let them have no doubt of what they mean to you."
