Fergie: 'It's too soon to think about dating'

FERGIE wants to give herself some time before she gets back into the dating world following her split from husband Josh Duhamel.

The 42-year-old singer and her Transformers star spouse, 44, announced the end of their eight-year marriage earlier this month (Sep17), much to the shock of fans. They confirmed at the time that they had split some time before making the break-up public news, so Fergie was asked if she's ready to move on from the romance during an interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday night.

"I don’t know,” she replied. "It’s too soon for me to even think about dating. I’m open to love, but it’s just too soon."

Earlier in the interview, host Andy asked Fergie about a comment she had made in a previous interview, about experimenting with women. Responding, the mother-of-one downplayed her remarks, laughing: "The things you say in an interview. I let it all out there, and it’s so funny the one-liners people pick up on."

Fergie is currently on the promo trail for her new album and visual experience Double Dutchess. However, she remains perhaps most famous for her track My Humps, which fans recently noted sounds similar to Taylor Swift's new offering Look What You Made Me Do.

Discussing the similarities between the two tracks, Fergie said: "You know what’s really interesting is that I have a song called Just Like You - it was the first thing I shot for this album and visual experience, and the chorus is: ‘Oops, look what you made me do, I’m crazy just like you, I’m tainted just like you, just like you’. So it’s funny because I’m like, ‘Look What You Made Me Do - it’s there!’ I almost want to do a little mash up. But rhythmically I feel (My Humps and Look What You Made Me Do) have got a little similarities. Maybe we do like a three-way mash up!"
