Actress Emily Osment is lending her voice to the upcoming reboot of 1980s cartoon Rainbow Brite.
The former Hannah Montana star has been cast to play the title character in the new series, which features the return of the young girl who brings color to the world.
Osment posted a photo of her first script for the show on Instagram.com, and added the caption, "First day on the job! Very stoked to be back doing some animation this summer. See you soon! Love, Emily aka Rainbow Brite."
The original 13-episode series premiered in 1984, and soon spawned dolls, live action specials and an animated movie.
Osment has previously voiced characters in Seth McaFarlane's hit cartoon Family Guy and Disney's Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil.
