Emily Blunt broke baby news to co-star before fight scene
Luke Evans was one of the first people to find out his The Girl On The Train co-star Emily Blunt was pregnant as she prepped him for a stunt scene.
The actress had kept the baby news a closely guarded secret on set, but felt she needed to tell the Welsh star she was with child before he started getting physical with her during a scene they shot in December (15).
"I was one of the first people to find out," the actor told
Britain's This Morning show on Wednesday (21Sep16).
"There's a little bit of a kerfuffle (fight) and just before, Emily
leans into me and whispers, 'I'm four months pregnant!'
"She decided to tell me at that moment... But she had to tell me, I
was about to throw her around the room, I was like, 'Cheers,
Em!"'
Blunt, who became a mum for the second time in June (16) when she
gave birth to daughter Violet, also left Evans a little dazed with
her accent - because he didn't realise she'd be playing a Brit in
the film, which is set in New York City.
"No one had told me until our first take and I was like, 'What's
going on? Her accent is terrible!'" he chuckled. "It really threw
me off on a tangent."
Luke and Emily teamed up again on the red carpet on Tuesday night
(20Sep16) for the world premiere of the movie adaptation of Paula
Hawkins' thriller in London's Leicester Square.
In the film, Emily plays an alcoholic divorcee who becomes obsessed
with a couple which lives near her former husband.
