Emeli Sande Splits From Rapper Boyfriend Hypo - report

Emeli Sande has reportedly split from her rapper boyfriend Hypo.

The Read All About It star reportedly met the British producer, also known as Bigg Hypes, while working on her 2016 album Long Live the Angels, the follow-up to her debut album Our Version of Events, and they embarked on a relationship, her first proper romance since her divorce from husband Adam Gouraguine.

However, they reportedly parted ways just weeks before the Scottish singer won her fourth BRIT Award, for British Female Solo Artist, last month (Feb17), according to The Sun newspaper.

“Hypo was the first guy Emeli had properly fallen for since leaving Adam," a source said. “They got together after meeting through friends and had some amazing times. But long-term relationships are so hard to get right in the music industry.

“Towards the end of last year they both decided to call it a day and keep their friendship strictly professional. It’s sad but the best way forward. Emeli’s really happy and already eager to put herself back out there.”

Emeli confirmed she was dating Hypo, who joined her as a partner in her new publishing company Hard Copy, in November (16), telling the publication she never thought she could date a musician because "we'd both by crazy... but it has been really nice."

The 29-year-old ended her marriage with childhood sweetheart Adam in 2013 after 12 months but she only revealed the news in an interview with Britain's The Times newspaper in November, 2014.

"He was my first ever boyfriend," she said at the time. "That's the only person I've been with for the past 10 years. So (losing) our relationship more than the marriage was the big part for me to deal with."
