Ellie Goulding is Still Falling for Bridget Jones

Ellie Goulding is to feature on the soundtrack for Bridget Jones's Baby.

The 29-year-old singer has a lucrative track record when it comes to providing songs for movies, following the popularity of her 2015 hit Love Me Like You Do, from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack.

And now the British star is no doubt hoping to replicate this success with her new tune Still Falling For You.

Ellie teased the track on Tuesday (16Aug16) when she shared a 10-second clip of herself standing in front of a movie countdown projection while an instrumental played in the background.

Fans were quick to speculate what Ellie could be promoting, before the official artwork for the song was released online. The cover shows Ellie closing her eyes as she appears to be listening to something, with her blonde hair left wavy and loose.

According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, Still Falling For You is due to be released on Friday (19Aug16) and is a romantic ballad, unlike the more upbeat Love Me Like You Do.

Ellie enjoyed her most successful single to date with Love Me Like You Do. It topped the charts in countries such as Australia, Germany and Switzerland, and stayed at number one in the U.K. for four weeks. It was hugely popular Stateside as well, peaking at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

As well as Ellie's offering, the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack featured two songs by Beyonce including an updated version of her hit Crazy In Love.

But someone who was unwilling to contribute a track to the album was singer Paloma Faith, who slammed Ellie for aligning herself with the film, which many have argued promotes abusive relationships.

“I found it offensive and degrading. If they’d have asked me to do the soundtrack I would have said no," Paloma told The Sun previously. "Luckily, they didn’t."
