Pop star Ellie Goulding and rapper Professor Green have been crowned the U.K.'s Hottest Vegetarians of 2015.
The Love Me Like You Do singer and the British hip-hop star have been awarded the title by staff at People of the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) for publicly speaking about their meat-free diet and its health benefits in interviews and on social media.
They follow in the footsteps of previous winners Leona Lewis, model Lily Cole, comedian Russell Brand and former The Wanted star Jay McGuiness.
Professor Green, real name Stephen Manderson, announced on Twitter.com he was becoming a vegetarian in October (15), writing, "As of today trying to make the transition to vegetarian. Saw a few documentaries that opened my (eyes)."
He subsequently documented his struggle, adding, "Day 3 as a vegetarian: I've had two bean Burgers in as many days - I need to branch out a bit more," and, "I've been veggie a couple of weeks now but the fried white bait wants me to eat it".
Ellie adopted a meat-free diet in 2014, and has been very vocal about the difference it has made.
"Now that my attitude to nutrition is balanced, I feel and look better," she told Britain's Glamour magazine. "My skin is brighter and my eyes are brighter - and when I look at myself in the mirror, I've got far fewer hang-ups."
