Ed Sheeran 'de-trashed' hotel suite for fear of upsetting maid
Singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran has cemented his image as pop's Mr. Nice Guy by revealing he once "de-trashed" a hotel room following a post Grammy Awards party because he didn't want to upset his maid.
The Sing star invited pals back to his hotel suite in Los Angeles after the Grammys earlier this year (14), but he insists the wild antics quickly turned mild when he realized someone would have to clean up the mess he and his friends had made.
He told Parade magazine the group had piled the contents of his
hotel room into the bathtub, but added, "I felt so bad and said,
'Oh, someone's going to have to clean this up'.
"I literally de-trashed my room and put it back to normal. If I
trash a hotel room, will anyone like me more? You're not going to
have kids going, 'Oh, that's really cool and edgy'. You're probably
going to get a ticked-off maid and that's about it."
Sheeran's good behavior extends to his professional appearances -
he explains, "It’s the time of being polite. Radio stations aren’t
going to play you if you show up late. You have to be respectful
and do your job.”
