Rapper Drake has celebrated the huge success of his new album More Life by treating himself to a multi-colored 40-carat diamond pendant worth an estimated $120,000 .

The Hotline Bling hitmaker shattered a string of streaming records upon the release of the project in late March (17), and he marked the huge achievement by ordering a customised gold chain and owl-shaped pendant from celebrity jeweller Ben Baller at IF & Co.

The owl featured on the new jewelry is taken from the logo of Drake's OVO (October's Very Own) brand, and Baller decorated the piece with white and canary diamonds and pink sapphires for the wings, and ice blue diamonds for the bird's eyes.

It also features the word "MORE" on the back, a nod to Drake's new body of work.

Baller showed off the pricey piece in a series of posts on Instagram, and quoted lyrics from the rapper's More Life track Gyalchester.

"Hermes Link... Ice Blue Mink We had to go crazy AGAIN.... Light 40 carats," he wrote. "The New #OVO owl. @champagnepapi Go buy #MoreLife now..."

Drake also modeled the new purchase in a video for fans online, and simply captioned it, "@benballer out here going insane."

The Canadian hip-hop star is known for his big jewelry purchases, and in December (16), he showed his generosity to his then-rumored girlfriend Jennifer Lopez by presenting her with a $100,000 diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co., which the singer/actress showed off in an Instagram photo from her New Year's Eve (31Dec16) celebrations.

They reportedly parted ways weeks later, and J.Lo is now dating retired baseball ace Alex Rodriguez.
