Drake fans warned over bogus tour dates
Representatives for rapper Drake have urged fans to call police if they've been duped into purchasing tickets for a series of concerts in May (15), because the shows are bogus.
A promoter has reportedly been selling tickets for an eight-city tour this spring (15) for more than $350 each, but the dates, including shows in Miami, Florida and Houston, Texas, have since been exposed as fakes, according to TMZ.com.
The Started From The Bottom hitmaker has no scheduled gigs in the
U.S. until he headlines the Governors Ball festival in New York in
June (15).
Members of Drake's management team have now warned ticket holders
to contact their local authorities in a bid to track down the
person or people behind the scam.
The hip-hop star, who released his surprise album If You're Reading
This It's Too Late last month (Feb15), is currently on tour in
Australia.
