Diddy's boy signs up to play football for UCLA
Sean 'Diddy' Combs is to join the ranks of the proud celebrity dads on college football sidelines next season - his eldest son has signed on to play for the UCLA Bruins in 2012.
Justin Dior Combs has committed to play for the University of California, Los Angeles team, according to USA Today.
The in-demand cornerback also had offers to play for Wyoming,
Virginia and Illinois.
The teenager says, "Today I am truly blessed and thankful to accept
my scholarship and give my full commitment to UCLA... I am a living
testament that, with a strong relationship with God, family, and
hard work, dreams do come true."
And his father adds, "Today is one of the proudest moments of my
life... Justin is a shining example of what hard work,
determination and a strong mentality can achieve. I am honoured to
call him my son and am happy that he is fulfilling his dream."
Combs will join Will Smith on the sidelines next season - the movie
star's son Trey won a football scholarship to North Arizona
university - and Denzel Washington's son John David played college
ball at Morehouse before signing on as a professional with the St.
Louis Rams in 2006.
