Dianna Agron to star in Alexander McQueen play
Glee actress Dianna Agron is relocating to London to star in a new play about tragic fashion designer Alexander Mcqueen.
The 28 year old has been cast in McQueen by James Phillips, a new production based on the life of the late style mogul which opens at the St James Theatre in London's West End in May (15).
Agron says of her new job, "I loved McQueen as a designer and I
love the way they have shaped this story. It's not biographical,
it's fantasy-based... I really want to be a well-balanced artist
and I think there's probably no better way to strengthen your craft
than on stage. There's something so special about it."
British actor Stephen Wight will tackle the role of McQueen, who
took his own life in 2010 at the age of 40, while Agron will play
Dahlia, a fictional fan of the designer.
McQueen opens on 12 May (15).
