Demi Lovato to make TV history on New Year's Eve

Demi Lovato will ring in 2017 by performing in the Caribbean.

The singer will appear as part of America's Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest from her Celebrity Cruises event in St. Maarten.



The Confidence singer will make history on the long-running end-of-year TV celebration by becoming the first act to offer up an international performance on the special, which will also feature remote appearances by Lucy Hale, Jason Derulo and Panic! at the Disco in New Orleans, as well as a performance by Lionel Richie from Las Vegas.


Meanwhile, Mariah Carey, DNCE, Thomas Rhett, and Gloria Estefan and the cast of her Broadway musical, On Your Feet!, will join host Seacrest for live performances in New York's Times Square, and Fifth Harmony, Ty Dolla $ign, Niall Horan, John Legend, Lukas Graham, and Shawn Mendes will be among the stars performing at a party in Los Angeles hosted by Fergie.
