Declan Donnelly engaged

British TV star Declan Donnelly is engaged to be married.

The Britain's Got Talent host, best known as one half of the duo Ant and Dec with Ant McPartlin, has proposed to his manager girlfriend Ali Astall.

Donnelly is currently in Australia hosting reality TV contest I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, and the presenter put his month-long stint Down Under to good use by asking her to marry him over the weekend (08-09Nov14).

An insider tells the U.K.'s Daily Mirror, "Dec and Ali are completely besotted with each other. They have been best friends for a long time. Dec soon realized that the he'd met the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and felt ready to settle down.

"They're keen to start a family and want to get hitched next year. Friends and family are delighted and see that they're taking the next step as they're perfect for each other."

Astall has been Ant and Dec's talent manger for more than a decade, but she only began a romantic relationship with Donnelly last spring (13).
