Deadmau5 to compete in international car rally
Dance music star Deadmau5 will travel 3,000 miles (4,828 kilometres) across five countries in seven days in a gruelling international motor rally.
The superstar music producer, real name Joel Zimmerman, will take on the challenge in his famous Ferrari Spider 458 sports car, which has been dubbed the 'Purrari' thanks to its cat-themed exterior.
He will kick off the Gumball 3000 on 4 June (14) with a DJ set at
the launch party in Miami, Florida before the 120 supercars and
celebrity drivers race off to the Daytona Speedway in the
state.
Parties will be thrown for the racers in key points along the
journey in Atlanta, Georgia and New York before the challenge
continues in the U.K.
London's shopping hotspot Regent Street will be shut down and will
become the world's most expensive car park when the competitors
throw another celebration in the capital before they head to the
end destination - the Spanish island of Ibiza.
Deadmau5 will be joined by rapper Eve and her fiance Maximillion
Cooper, who plan to get married on the island days after the rally
ends.
