David Beckham honours son on 16th birthday

David Beckham has shared a photo tribute to his eldest son Brooklyn to mark the youngster's 16th birthday.

The soccer icon's boy, the eldest of his brood with singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham, marked the milestone on Wednesday (04Mar15), and Beckham posted a photomontage on Facebook.com in his honour.

The images show Brooklyn as a toddler joining his dad on the pitch at a soccer game, and as a teenager cuddled up to the retired England player.

Beckham added in a caption, "Happy Birthday to my big boy xx."

Brooklyn also took to social media on Wednesday to thank a famous fan for a present, offering a message to Kanye West via Instagram.com after the rapper sent him a pair of specially-designed 'Yeezy' sneakers.
