Dancer Mark Ballas weds

Mark Ballas has wed fiancee Brittany Jean Carlson in a romantic ceremony the day after Thanksgiving.

The Dancing with the Stars professional and the singer-songwriter, best known by her stage name of BC Jean, were married on Friday (25Nov16) at a venue in Malibu, California, surrounded by family and friends.

The 30-year-old dancer had his fellow Dancing with the Stars pro Derek Hough serving as best man on his big day, who shared a few snaps on social media.

"It's Time!" Derek posted on Instagram, alongside a picture of an ornate pocket watch.

Fellow dancers Julianne Hough and Cheryl Burke were also in attendance at the intimate wedding.

Previously, Brittany revealed that the guests would be taken to a private location for the ceremony.

"It's a local secret wedding thing. We are going to shuttle people to a private place," she told Entertainment Tonight in September (16). "And make it really intimate and special."

Mark and his 29-year-old bride have been splitting their time between New York and Los Angeles following the dancer's casting as Frankie Valli in Broadway's Jersey Boys.

Despite being busy with his new role, Mark said he was going to take the time to enjoy his wedding day.

"Your wedding is something you subconsciously prepare for your entire life," he said recently to People.com.

"Now it’s finally here and happening. It’s surreal. I just want to soak it all up because I just know I’m going to click my fingers and the whole evening will be over and I want to make sure I enjoy it."

The couple got engaged a day before Thanksgiving last year (15), and celebrated the holiday this year with a dinner and beach party with family and friends on Thursday (24Nov16).
